Poděbrady · Since the 16th century
A 16th-century guesthouse in the spa town of Poděbrady — 50 minutes from Prague, on the banks of the Elbe. Five characterful rooms and two spacious apartments.
The Dobré časy building dates from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. For generations it was home to families of fishermen, potters and joiners — and that atmosphere still runs through every corner of it.
Poděbrady is a spa town on the Elbe, about 50 km east of Prague, known for its mineral springs, its colonnade and its riverside parks. The guesthouse stands in the historic core of the town, right against the castle wall on the riverbank. The main square is only 200 m away, the spa colonnade a few minutes on foot, and the Elbe Cycle Route passes 50 m from the door.
A full renovation in 2015 created a house that combines its historic character with modern comfort: tastefully furnished rooms, some with their own terrace, views into the crowns of the castle garden, and free Wi-Fi throughout.

+2Two four-bed apartments in a villa with a garden, directly beside the spa park and about five minutes’ walk from Jiřího z Poděbrad Square.
Both are generously furnished three-room apartments of 100 and 110 m² — two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, an entrance hall, a bathroom with both a bathtub and a separate shower, and a separate WC. Guests are welcome to use the garden. They suit groups of friends and families with children particularly well.

+2The guesthouse sits in a quiet historic corner directly below Poděbrady Castle, right on the bank of the Elbe. In the morning you wake to nothing but the river and birdsong.
And yet you are only a few steps from the spa colonnade, the main square and the Elbe Cycle Route — the privacy of a centuries-old place with everything a spa town offers close at hand.

Please approach the guesthouse around the church, via Na Kopečku and Labská streets. Avoid the narrow lane above the guesthouse — it is often impassable. The “Navigate” button above will route you the recommended way.
